Junction West
A 1918 Warehouse in Downtown Raleigh
Junction West is in a 1918 produce warehouse on South West Street in Raleigh's Warehouse District. Over the years it stored newspapers and paint before becoming an event venue. The main Warehouse room is white brick with exposed rafters and beams, seating up to 160 (250 standing). Next door, the Bar room has a large white granite bar. Outside, a 2,000-square-foot courtyard has turf, native plants, market lights and views of the downtown skyline, and works for ceremonies or cocktail hour.
Why We Love DJing at Junction West
We've DJ'd at Junction West, and moving from the courtyard to the Bar to the Warehouse gives the night a great flow. Here's how a Discoboxx wedding comes together there:
Courtyard ceremony: Wireless ceremony sound under the market lights with the skyline behind you.
Cocktail hour in the Bar or courtyard: Music that fits a downtown cocktail party while the Warehouse gets set for dinner.
A warehouse dance party: Brick and beams make a great party room. We build the night from dinner to a packed dance floor.
A setup that fits the look: Our custom wooden DJ booths match the warehouse's wood and brick.
Planning Tips for Junction West
Use all three spaces: Ceremony in the courtyard, cocktails in the Bar and dinner in the Warehouse gives the night a natural flow. Share your plan early so sound is ready in each.
Plan a downtown after party: The Warehouse District is full of bars and restaurants. Send guests off with a last song that sets the tone.
Add a photo booth: Urban weddings love a photo booth. Our sister brand Hotshot can be added to any Discoboxx package.
